Privacy policy

What information do we collect?

• Order details: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, the products you order and any notes you add.
• Account details, if you create an account: your email and a password, which we store only in a scrambled (hashed) form we can't read.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form, with your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number.
• Technical information: the cookies described in our cookie policy, and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, kept for security.
• Usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics records pages viewed, products viewed or added to the cart, orders placed (order number and value, not your name or contact details), and general device and location information.

Why do we use it?

• To take, confirm and complete your orders, and to arrange payment.
• To check that you're 21 or older, as the law requires.
• To send you order confirmations and contact you about your order.
• To answer your messages.
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping duties.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't send marketing emails unless you've signed up for them.

Who do we share it with?

We share information only when we need to: with service providers that help us run the shop (such as hosting and email delivery), with the licensed business that fulfils your order, and with authorities when the law requires it. Each only gets what they need for their part. We don't sell or rent your personal information.

How long do we keep it?

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for regulated cannabis sales and tax purposes. Contact messages are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable time afterwards. If you have an account, we keep it until you ask us to close it.

What are my rights?

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, unless we must keep it by law. Residents of some states, including California, have additional rights, such as knowing what categories of information we collect and not being treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”. We'll confirm your identity before acting on it.

How do we protect it?

The site uses encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

What about people under 21?

ShopJeeter is only for adults 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think someone under 21 has given us their details, please contact us and we'll delete them.

Will this policy change?
